As a result of ongoing growth, the Gillach Group is adding a Field Agent to our team.  Our dynamic real estate sales team seeks an enthusiastic, internally driven, committed Field Agent to join one of the Boston area’s most prolific real estate teams. Exciting position with lots of growth potential and ability to make impact on the scale of the business.

Unlike other real estate jobs, this is NOT a 100% commission job! Agent will get paid a monthly draw (flat fee per transaction as a drawer/base) and potential performance bonuses for exceeding target. We are a top performing team closing over 70 sides a year!

Must be within 20 minutes drive of office in Chestnut Hill. Must also be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends – particularly during busy season

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Full support/execute the team leader’s sales and rentals
  • Work with Transaction Coordinator and follow through on all details of a transaction needed to ensure a closed sale
  • Schedule and manage appointments and tours for buyers and sellers
  • Provide detailed feedback on showings, OHs, inspections, all client activity
  • Coordinate transaction activities among clients, agents, attorneys, appraisers, lenders, inspectors.
  • Retrieve/drop off checks, documents, clients
  • Schedule, attend and manage inspections and other home appointments
  • Prepare homes for listing eg. arrange signage, home prep, install signage, obtain keys, install lockboxes
  • Obtain, analyze, provide summary of financials, condo documents, property management information for our listings and for our buyers; extract key information to create “cheat sheets” of information pertinent to a listing and provide to buyers in course of making offers.
  • Trouble shoot daily problems that arise with clients, colleagues, vendors, knowing to escalate to team leader as needed to maintain client relationships.
  • Support team lead in putting together contracts and obtaining signatures
  • Collaborate fully with other team members
  • Ensure all appointments and commitments are covered as needed for all team leader’s deal at all times. Arrange coverage when out, cover for other team agents as needed (we all cover for one another!)
  • Prepare for and host OHs, enter data into CRM, follow-up on leads, feedback to leader
  • Work in a collaborative way with all team members in support of the Team goals
  • Communicate fully with team members and leader via text, calendar, email, CRM, cell phone


  • Must be within 15-20 Minutes of Chestnut Hill, MA – Candidates further will not be considered at this time
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater preferred
  • Valid MA real estate license and auto insurance coverage at all times
  • Continuing education, E&O insurance valid and up to date at all times
  • Strong history of success in sales, marketing, real estate, or related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering a very high level of service
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, Apple iPhone, Online real estate sites like MLS, Zillow,
  • No fear of phone. Text/email/phone with equal ease
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Technologically proficient, ability to learn new systems easily.
  • High preference given to candidates in Chestnut Hill, Brookline & Newton
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule – especially during busy seasons

Joe is a lifelong resident of the Boston area and has lived in West Newton for the past 25 years. He has been a local real estate investor for years, primarily in the Boston condominium market. He was educated at BC High and graduated from Boston College with a BA in History and went on to earn an MBA. Joe enjoys spending time outside, including taking long walks with his dog and working in the garden.
